Socio Lite
Microfinance in Myanmar
We believe that women hold the power to transform impoverished communities in Myanmar. Socio Lite Microfinance is a for-profit organization registered in Myanmar (Burma) and is the only microfinance institution established and operated by native Burmese people. We provide microfinance services to women in Myanmar who are poor and vulnerable. We also promote children's education through scholarships. We serve our members based on mutual trust, accountability, responsibility and personal interaction. We are making a long-term commitment to not only uplift the current generation but future generations, as well.
We have a vision to fight poverty and believe that every Burmese deserves a life with purpose and an opportunity for education.
We provide services to the poor and vulnerable who have no access to jobs, formal banks or grid power.
We provide training to our members on how to run a business, save money, and conduct their lives to increase their chances for a better future.
We welcome our international friends and supporters to visit and witness first-hand our efforts to alleviate poverty and uplift the lives of the poor.
Sponsoring education for children is a key element in our efforts to transform and uplift the poor. We ensure that our members share that commitment.
We are native Burmese people helping other Burmese people in need. We share their struggles and hopes for a better future. We constantly monitor their lives with weekly visits to their homes and place of business.
